Computational biology group – symfonia competition
The National Science Centre resolved the third issue of the Symfonia competition, granting funding to 6 projects out of the 62 applications submitted. One of the winners was the project titled "Atlas of regulator areas specific for the human brain – a new tool for detecting paths causing selected brain diseases". The Project Team includes Computational Biology Group from ICS PAS, headed by Prof. Jan Komorowski.
The Project Manager is Dr. Bartosz Wilczyński from the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics of Warsaw University, In addition to FMIM UW and ICS PAS groups, researchers involved in the undertaking include the group of Prof. Bożeny Kamińskiej-Kaczmarek from the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS.
